Saucony Neo Tokyo

Josh Fraser and Jason Faustino reached out to me with a brief on trying a new illustration based promotion for the Saucony Azura in its “Neo Tokyo” colorway.

We created a series of social assets in a “dreamy but nuts” Vaporwave Manga and Anime fantasy conceptual world. The resulting triptych of motion, illustration, texture, and audio design was a fantastic homage to the color palette and intensity of Katsuhiro Otomo’s AKIRA.

Our love of sneakers, Saucony brand heritage, and animation collided full force. We had fans demanding posts to see the full reveal over the 3 day campaign activation – and it was exciting to watch it unfold.
